From Cumberland, MD
ROCK THE RACEWAY FROM CUMBERLAND MD
Cumberland, Maryland is the gateway for Allegany County and Mineral County WV fans heading to Rock the Raceway 2026. The drive north to Jennerstown Speedway Complex is roughly 60 miles, about 75 minutes via I-68 east and US-219 north. The festival is Sunday, August 23, 2026.
The Cumberland drive north
Take I-68 east out of Cumberland to Exit 14 at Keysers Ridge. Pick up US-219 north into Pennsylvania. The road climbs through Meyersdale and on into Somerset, then jogs west on PA-31 or north on PA-601 to meet US-30 west into Jennerstown.
The route is mostly four-lane and runs through the high country of the Casselman River valley. Scenic, no tolls, and easy to navigate.
Make it a long weekend
Cumberland is a popular base for Rock the Raceway weekenders who want to combine the festival with the Great Allegheny Passage rail-trail or Deep Creek Lake. Both are short drives from Cumberland and easy to fit in around the August 23 festival.
For Saturday-night racing at Jennerstown Speedway Complex (the night before the festival), lodging in Meyersdale, Somerset, or Boswell keeps you close. Cumberland has a wider hotel selection if you don't mind the morning drive.
Tri-state coverage
Cumberland sits at the corner of Maryland, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. Rock the Raceway intentionally serves all three states. Maryland-based bands are eligible to enter the competition, and Maryland voters are eligible for every drawing and reward.
